I started my law enforcement career with this agency and worked at the State University of New York College at Old Westbury.  This is a great law enforcement job.  I personally think it is one of the best law enforcement jobs, particularly in the upstate region where your money goes further.  Go to their Facebook page and you can get a taste of what the job has to offer.
