Road Rage

By now we have all seen the video from the NC Road Rage incident in NC. I have posted before about 'just the facts', but leaving out facts as it says does not mean they do not exist.  Why would you leave out certain facts?  Well, to come to the conclusion you want (most likely what your client wants)  You go from being OBJECTIVE to SUBJECTIVE and that is NOT your job.  Yes, someone has hired you, but it it is not your job to alter the truth to fit their agenda.  It is your job to investigate and report your findings.

If you read the article I posted yesterday, you know that Video Gaming played a part in the Newtown and Columbine massacres.   I have to wonder if we had more kids playing on rope/tire swings would things be better?  Kids playing with other kids outdoors, getting fresh air and exercise - sounds like a good thing to me.

Lupica Article on Newtown CT

This is an excellent article from the NY Daily News by Mike Lupica..  I know in the past I have talked about WHO- WHAT- WHEN- WHERE and SOMETIMES WHY.  For me, WHY is always the question I want answered.  If we know WHY perhaps we can prevent, perhaps we can rehabilitate.
 It is interesting that, like the Columbine killers the Newtown killer took his video gaming from fantasy to reality.  In my opinion these findings should open up debates and research into the lack of empathy and also the distorted views of fantasy and reality.  These issues of lack of empathy and distorted reality are not just connected to mass murders, but also serial killers, sex crimes....  These issues NEED to be explored more thoroughly, but I have not heard much talk about  any of this.

Forensic Accounting, Cyber Security?

Read the following 2 articles and maybe you will understand why I say if I were just starting out I would go into either Forensic Accounting or Cyber Security.  Both are fields with lots of opportunities and both would be interesting careers.   I think I lean a little more toward Cyber Security as I think the opportunities are more diverse.  Which would you choose?

Ross Capicchioni a Brave Warrior
