Are you prepared if the power goes out? I was somewhat prepared, but I could have done better and next time I will. What I did right: I had flashlights, lanterns, batteries, portable radio, coolers, barbecue grill and charcoal, car charger for cell phone and I had them accessible. What I did wrong: my cell phone wasn't charged, my car only had a quarter of a tank of gas, I don't have a generator, and I didn't have extra cash. My power was only out for 1 day, so I didn't need some of the other recommended supplies like bottled water and dry /canned food though I had all these. I also didn't have any damage to my home, but I had tarps and duct tape.
My favorite flashlight that I used during the power outage and I also use this when I bike ride at night. It also comes in handy when doing certain projects around the house. I definitely recommend this, so handy.
