Wanted! NY State Troopers

The NY State Troopers are seeking candidates for their upcoming exam.  They have been posting a series of photos on their Facebook page taken in different places in NY State.  The two I have posted are my favorites so far.
The NY State Troopers have a proud tradition of professionalism and  their motto is, "Excellence Through Knowledge."   I also think they have the best uniforms - I love the stetson hat they wear.  Actually, there is quite a bit of symbolism in the design of the troopers uniforms.  The black stripe on the pants leg is in remembrance of fallen officers, the purple tie and hat band is representative of an elite unit and comes from the Praetorian Guard.  The troopers gray uniform was not actually gray, but was black and white threads woven together and symbolizes the impartiality of justice.  The NY State Troopers do not wear their badges on their uniform, they carry them with their ID card.
